 Important Senior Events

Information regarding Class of 2017 will be posted on this page as it becomes available.

 
Sept 14th - Jostens will be in the cafeteria at 8:00 AM.  Information and order forms will be given to seniors regarding ordering cap & gown, graduation announcements and graduation memorabilia.  Seniors must be on time as the presentation will start promptly at 8:00 AM.  

Sept 20th & 21st - Jostens will be in the cafeteria during lunch times and will be collecting payments and orders for cap & gown, graduation announcements etc.

Nov 1st - Senior Ads are due to Mrs. Wallace or Mrs. Chasko.  Prices are:
  • $15 for 1/2 sheet
  • $30 for 1/2 page
  • $50 for Whole page
Actual Files and digital Files may be submitted with the form and can be emailed to paradisehonorsyearbook@gmail.com.
  
Nov 28th - Seniors will be given a form during Homeroom on how their name will appear on their diploma.  If it is not correct, please make the changes on the form.
 
PARENTS: Please sign the form and have your student return to it counseling by December 2nd.  All Forms need to be returned even if there are no changes.

Dec 6th - Senior Individual and Class Pictures  - Please come in semi-formal dress attire. You will get your picture taken with your cap and gown as well as in your formal dress clothes. This will be your yearbook picture! Please come dressed to impress! 

Picture Day Semi-Formal Dress Attire:

  • All clothing must follow PHHS Student Handbook dress code
  • Men's shirts must have a collar
  • No t-shirts, logos, athletic wear or jerseys

Jan 12th - Senior Picture Retakes Please come in semi-formal dress attire. You will get your picture taken with your cap and gown as well as in your formal dress clothes. This will be your yearbook picture! Please come dressed to impress!

Jan 19th - Senior Trip First Deposit Due - $70 in check, cash, or money orders payable to PHHS to Ms. Wallace in room F109.

SENIOR TRIP - CANCELED - Any students who paid a deposit will receive a refund in the next two to three weeks.

Mar 8th - Josten's will be in the cafeteria during all lunches for cap & gown and commencement announcement distribution. Please note: If you have an outstanding balance, this will need to be paid before your student can pick up their graduation items. For questions please contact Josten's at 1-800-567-8367.
 
Mar 24th - Senior T-shirt order forms are due.  For more information contact Ms. Wallace.
 
April 28th - Prom - Finding Neverland @ Warehouse 215 (215 E. Grant St, Phoenix, AZ 85004) from 8:00 to 11:00pm.
 
Prom Ticket Sales before school in Ms. Wallace's room and at lunches.
CASH or CHECK ONLY.
 
April 10-21st $65 per person, April 24-26th $75 per person & April 27th $75 per person.  NO SALES on Friday, April 28th
 
Prom guest passes are due to admin by Tuesday, April 25th.
 
May 17th & 18th - Senior Finals - Final exams will occur in the students' regularly scheduled class periods, following the schedule below.
 
May 17th : Periods 4-6 
May 18th: Periods 1-3
*Students will dismiss after Period 3 finals on May 18th. 
 
Final senior grades will be due by 3:30 PM on Friday, May 19th.  Any make-up exams can also be arranged on this day.
 
May 19th - Senior Check Out - Will be between 8:00am and 2:00pm.  Seniors will need to pay all fees and return any school items.  Two floor seats for commencement will be given after check out.  There will not be any early Senior check out.  If your Senior is unable to check out on Friday, May 19th they will have until Wednesday, May 24th.  It is important that every senior check out or they will not be able to walk in Commencement.
 
May 25th - Commencement Ceremony - Seniors must report dressed (appropriately) in graduation attire for commencement and ready for rehearsal at the arena by 8:45 a.m. Rehearsal will start promptly at 9:00 a.m.
 
  • No Breakfast will be served
  • Must be dressed (appropriately) in graduation attire for Commencement, have a place to freshen up, but not for getting dressed
  • No writing or extras on gowns or caps
  • 9:45 a.m. - Pictures/Group photo
  • Individual shots from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
  • No balloons, flowers, vases, noisemakers, confetti, posters are allowed in the arena; flowers will be on sale at GCU
  • Outside items of any kind are not allowed
  • Ladies - Choose your shoes wisely as there are stairs up and down to and from the stage
  • We must exit the arena by 1:00 p.m. as GCU has another ceremony afterwards
Parents will receive 2 tickets for floor seating (students will receive them when they "sign out" on their last day); other guests will sit in the "bowl" area seats (staff will be present to direct people). 
 
Doors open to parents/guests at 10:15a.m.  Parking available in the 33rd Avenue and Camelback parking garage.
