4 Day School Week Information
Paradise Schools is currently exploring the adoption of a four day school week schedule for the 2024-2025 school year.
Why?
- Foster work/life/school balance.
- Encourage and increase quality family time.
- Sustain staff retention and increase high-quality candidate recruitment.
A 4-day week would encompass 144 instructional school days from August to May. It would include 1 Friday each month as a staff development day.
How?
A survey sent to Paradise Schools families on October 26th 2023 was the first step to exploring the 4-day week. The next steps include follow-up surveys, open forums, Q&A opportunities, focus groups, and board meeting presentations of findings.
